Prof. Budi Haryanto represented the University of Indonesia at the public seminar “Wildfire Smoke: Health Impacts and Adaptation in Southeast Asia and Australia” hosted by HEAL CANBREATHE & HEAL-HAZE at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The event brought together experts from across Southeast Asia and Australia to discuss the multifaceted challenges of wildfire smoke, including its impacts on public health, risks for vulnerable populations, and adaptation strategies in the context of climate change. The seminar served as a platform for sharing knowledge, research findings, and cross-country experiences to strengthen science-based responses to the region’s air quality crisis.
