Prof. Budi Haryanto represented the University of Indonesia at the “Regional Policy Workshop on Tackling the Health Impacts of Haze Pollution in Southeast Asia and Australia”, held on 17 June 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. Co-hosted by the HEAL National Research Network at the University of Canberra and Mahidol University as part of the HEAL-HAZE and CANBREATHE projects, the workshop brought together over 30 experts from Southeast Asia and Australia to explore the drivers and impacts of wildfire smoke and transboundary haze, exchange policy approaches and community-led adaptation initiatives, and co-develop actionable strategies to reduce health risks associated with air pollution and climate change.
