The Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), in collaboration with the Center of Reform on Economics (CORE Indonesia), the Leaded Gasoline Eradication Committee (KPBB), and the Research Center for Climate Change Universitas Indonesia (RCCC UI), launched a policy study on the impacts of adopting Euro IV-equivalent fuel quality standards. The study shows that stricter fuel quality standards can reduce air pollution, improve public health, and lower social and economic costs arising from increased healthcare expenses, lost economic opportunities, and environmental damage, while also supporting economic growth. Prof. Budi Haryanto attended the event to present the study’s findings, alongside Fajar Nugraha and Eky Pramitha from the RCCC UI team.
