Field Visit – Palembang, September 23, 2025

Through the HEALHAZE and CANBREATHE collaboration, Dr. Fitri Kurniasari from RCCC UI joined partners in a series of field engagements across Palembang to explore the health dimensions of seasonal haze.

Activities included a school visit to SD 1 Muhammadiyah Palembang, meetings with local authorities at the Regional Secretariat (Setda), a household visit in Silaberanti, and a seminar at the Graduate School of Universitas Sriwijaya. The seminar featured thought provoking-talks by Prof. Sotiris Vardoulakis (University of Canberra) and Prof. Bin Jalaluddin (UNSW), sparking rich discussions on public health and air quality.
